The Collection

This is the name that in the begining of the year of 2004 gave more life to Portugal, started than one project of photographic caracter that it represents Portugal from north to the south.This is a project without end to the sight, is a project that it comes growing gradually, as much in content, as in visits, Portugal can be a small country in geographic dimensions, but it is an enormous country in terms of architectural, ambient and cultural content, from there project "Portugal 21st Century Collection" to be one project without end to the sight.
The Collection was born only with the objective to show Portugal to the world through the photograph, proves of this was soon the concern to translate the content for the Spanish language and English, allowing of this form a more universal spreading, even so the image also by itself is universal. Currently project constituted by ninety and eight sites, with so diverse contents, as: cities, castles, beaches, lighthouses and many other subjects on Portugal. The Collection inside contemplates of itself subjects as photograph, history, society, religion and art, subjects that for itself are only great subjects, now imagine them together in a great balance; the project is not only one project photographic, is also to contemplate of other subjects, is like a homage to Portugal! The Collection has come to evolve in the dynamic project direction, was created to newsletter to inform on actualizations, a questionnaire on proper project was created, and currently it is in course new project in set with the "Portugal 21st Century Collection" that it is called "to preserve", and that it consists of divulging our historical and ambient patrimony in degradation, it is like an alert for the state of our historical and ambient patrimony, therefore who already walked from north to the south of the country knows what is happening in this real moment! The Collection welcome your visit, being for already invited to come back more times, therefore is in constant evolution.

Welcome to Portugal of this century, was with this objective and intention that wanted to bring until you my country. Although I already was been in the foreigner, and I always had the concern to know first Portugal and later opening my horizon in terms of international trips, and perhaps the reason to initiate the collection of photographs had been this that later became the Collection "Portugal 21st Century Collection".Still have many places to see and to photograph, I feel pride when I go for this road it are and I think, as a country of these dimensions has as much to see, is of extraordinary fact the country where we live, I just want to say to my self, feels Portugal. to finish, I would like to say that the project only counts on my person, since the photos until the sites, has been a hard work, one year working in front to the computer every day, five times per week, the others two that they are Saturday and Sunday, are for resting and knowing Portugal more than. However beyond the consuming it is a work that very contents me in making it, I know that I am to contribute, I do not know to the certainty, but I know that I am to contribute.
